About Us

What we do:

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Great Lakes Physical Therapy. Our goal is to provide you with the best physical therapy experience possible. To optimize your healing, our experienced clinicians combine clinical expertise, understanding, and compassion provided in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Each of our therapists understands that the best outcomes come from a combination of skilled manual therapy and specific individualized therapeutic exercises.

Skill comes from experience and perpetual learning. All of our therapists are seasoned veterans who continue to study, learn, and take advanced training. Manual therapy is the term used to describe the “hands on” techniques we use to promote tissue healing. Therapeutic exercise is the scientific use of body movement to restore the normal function and rhythm of the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems. What that means for you is a quicker return to the things you like  to do.

Who we are:

We specialize in manual therapy, dry needling, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic and postural exercise, functional movement training, gait training, balance training, and modalities.

We have physical therapists who are experts in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries utilizing their experience in manual therapy techniques and exercise program planning. We are also experts in the treatment of neurological disorders and injuries including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury and multiple sclerosis.

What our patients are saying...

I’ve been to physical therapy for various injuries in the past and I had a pretty negative opinion of the effectiveness of Physical Therapy, I felt it was mostly required by the insurance industry to get you to quit so they would get out of paying for a needed surgery. That was my opinion until recently.  After a shoulder injury, I was sent to Great Lakes by my family doctor. I went along to play the game so eventually I could get a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. My experience with the staff at Great Lakes has completely changed my opinion on Physical Therapy. Everything about this practice has been positive from the way the practice is run to the treatment by the therapists themselves. They are much more attentive and hands on than any other experience I’ve had. I can actually see and feel the benefits I’ve received from their treatment. I would, and have, highly recommended them to family and friends.
