McKenzie Method

The McKenzie Method was developed by Australian physical therapist Robin McKenzie and is a well-researched exercise based approach of assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The treatment principles promote the body’s potential to repair itself and allows patients to learn principles which empower them to be in control of their own symptom management.

As promulgated by The McKenzie Institute, USA, the McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), is an evidence based assessment and management protocol for patients with spinal and extremity problems. The McKenzie Method utilizes a unique combination of postural and body mechanics training along with the application of specific individualized exercises which enables patients to self-manage their condition.  MDT is applicable to acute, sub-acute, and chronic conditions.

What our patients are saying...

The people here are all kind, caring people and are very good at their jobs.  I feel very comfortable and well taken of.  They all know their jobs very well.  It feels to me like a family place and everyone is treated that way.  I tell everyone if they need PT, this is the place to go and everyone I have sent here, agrees with me.
